I have owned many different hydration packs over the years. Everyone in my household is an avid day hiker so we place a lot of value on hydration packs like this. This is one of the most well designed ones I have ever encountered. I will start with the bladder itself. It holds 2 liters. It has a large fill opening, which is so important. I can add ice cubes with no issues. I filled it full and never encountered any leaking even with being active. The backpack itself is lightweight, and when the bladder is added to the backpack it absorbs the weight of the bladder evenly so that I don’t feel like I am carrying 2 liters of water. The bladder is opaque, but still easy to see how much water is left. The bladder is BPA free. The mouthpiece is a unique, sturdy one that self closes.The reflective thermal insulated compartment, that the bladder goes in, is solidly constructed. Even after the bladder is in place, there is so much more room, and so many more zippered pockets for the other stuff I like to carry. The elastic bungees on the exterior are a nice touch for extra storage. There is even a hanging handle to hang the backpack up with. The material of the backpack is nylon and repels water.To me, the most important aspect of any backpack is the comfort level. This one excels in that regard. It is adjustable to fit almost any size adult. The shoulder straps are more than adequately padded for comfort. There are 4 buckles to assure user comfort. There was no rubbing or friction, at any location on my body, after an all day hike that I wore the backpack on.To avoid the uncomfortable weight of carrying water bottles or heavy packs, I am ashamed to say that I have went on hikes without enough water many times in my life. Never again. Overall, this is a hydration pack that has been designed to assure that the user remains comfortable and hydrated. Not only that, but it keeps trashed plastic bottles out of the environment and the landfills.
