Abbott Practice Chanter Reed The Abbott is an excellent, sturdy practice chanter reed. The wide blades are durable and produce a bold sound. The blade material also allows Abbott practice reeds to be adjusted for pitch and strength with fine sanding. Wide-blade reeds are less likely to shut off from overblowing.
